The Keelguard instantly bonds to the hull using 3M’s super strong pressure sensitive adhesive, after application of the 3M primer. The bond is permanent, no curing time is necessary.

Installation consists of four steps
Step 1. Etching (Scuffing)
Step 2. Cleaning
Step 3. Priming
Step 4. Applying
Average installation time is 45-60 minutes depending on the length of KeelGuard.
The KeelGuard kit comes complete with everything needed to professionally install the KeelGuard, except a cleaning agent used in step 2 However, the cleaning agent (acetone) is readily available at most hardware stores
